IMEDA has initiated an integrated programme that includes awareness and behavioral change. The aim is to integrate cleanliness as a core value among youth through voluntary work in order to take the cleanliness drive to a very functional level aligned with the objectives of Swachh Bharat Mission.

A delegation Led by the Chairman Imeda, Dr. MJ Khan accompanied with Maulana Haroon Rasheed and Maulana Arif Qasmi visited mosques of archaeological importance. To name the few are Masjid Begumpur- Malviya Nagar, Masjid Maqdoom Shah- Mafair Garden Hauzkhas, Mandloi Masjid -Mehrauli, Masjid Jamli Kamali -Mehrauli, Masjid- Razia Sultan Mehrauli, Moti Masjid- Zafar Mehal Mehruli to take a look of cleanliness in these Mosques. The visit meant to update the ASI authorities regarding their cleanliness and maintenance. We hope that after getting updates about cleanliness issues and malpractices, the concerned authorities will take needful action to monitor unethical activities being carried out by the people which are inconsistent with the vary character of Masjid and shrine. These grand mosques with their elegant architecture were once used for prayer and congregational purposes, but now are lying with no or little attention.
