Position Summary

The Imeda Coordinator is responsible for supporting the core activities; he/she will play an integral part in providing broad-based program implementation, analytical and administrative support, including supporting various projects, community engagement activities such as creating awareness, providing information and facilitation, conduct surveys, and organizing events. This role will also support preparation and distribution of various reports to the leadership team.

It’s a non-paid work, individual will be provided with necessary certificate/letters.

Purpose of the Position

Under the direction of the Project Manager, the coordinator will be responsible for field level implementation, community mobilization, coordination and facilitation of the activities. The overall objective of the program is to link youth with opportunities to empower and enable them.

Major Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, organization/ facilitation and implementation of the project activities at district/block/sub-division (Tehsil) levels.
  • Maintain programmatic accountability for program activities including data collection for evaluation, record keeping of activities.
  • Establish, coordinate and integrate databases and develop information systems.
  • Facilitate information on the various schemes and welfare programs.
  • Work closely with the government, partner NGOs, and schools/faith-based schools to increase literacy levels and livelihood opportunities.
  • Distribute information materials and facilitate counseling and training programs to ensure quality technical messages on various models reaching all the target beneficiaries.
  • Assist in application processing and registration to avail given facilities/schemes.
  • Any other duties as assigned from time to time.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification

Any Graduate/post graduate or equivalent. The individual must have Small Office/ Home Office equipped with computer/laptop with internet connectivity.

Skills

Good understanding of Hindi and English and computer/internet.

The individual must possess an interest in social work, and organizational abilities. They must have an understanding of the type of information they are seeking, as well as a professional, courteous and analytical penchant. Facilitation skills, a good understanding of cross-cultural issues, good organizational and time management skills, knowledge of rural/community development.

Experience in social work, training, life skills education and exposure to government work will be an added advantage.
