President Message

In a rapidly changing world, information holds the key to development. Those, who could constantly update with information, succeed in making their share of the opportunities. The rapid pace of developments in our country is throwing open a sea of opportunities, both in Government and in private sector, in terms of employment and self-employment and more importantly the market and economic opportunities. However, despite the Government??s best efforts of empowering the weaker sections of the society through a plethora of schemes and welfare programs, certain sections have been lagging behind in the development.

Indian Minorities Economic Development Agency, a section 25 not for profit company, registered in 2015 in New Delhi, is working on the vision of connecting youth to opportunities by multiplying the community level processes through building leadership, empowering civil society groups and creating networks, executing programs in entrepreneurship, skills development and livelihood security by facilitating partnerships across the public and private organizations and creating synergies for economic opportunities for the youth and empowerment of economically weaker sections among minorities in India.

Need & Strategy

The representation of minorities in businesses, governance, and ownership of resources is a matter of critical concern for the nation. For a prosperous and inclusive society here is a need, amongst minorities, to grow and grow uniformly.

Due to lack of awareness of different welfare programs and schemes, and lower participation in the education, the under-representation of the community in the jobs and businesses, their ability to avail the schemes and opportunities continues to be a matter of concern. This drives a need to increase targeted assistance to generalize available opportunities so that all communities are benefited.
